Abstract:
This report gives an account of my stay at UHURU farm for a period of 10 weeks. The internship exercise lasted for ten weeks that is 28th Feb 2022 to 7th May 2022.
The exercise was carried out at UHURU PDC Ltd farm in Lwengo District. Among the objectives of the industrial training included enabling the student transform theory into practical in real life situations, equipping the student with the relevant skills, competence and efficiency in execution of specific tasks, enabling the student get hands on experience real life situation they are expected to work in when they graduate, providing an opportunity for the student potential employers in order to appreciate field situations that will also generate information for curricular review with the academic staff, enrolling the student in working environment so as to develop student understanding of work ethics, demands, responsibilities and opportunities.
This report also contains and describes the activities implemented, skills and qualifications gained, challenges faced during the industrial training, conclusion of the report and recommendations derived from the challenges faced at UHURU PDC Ltd farm, Lwengo District.
Chapter one describes introduction and background, address, mission, vision, objectives and organization structure of UPDC Ltd farm.
Chapter two discusses the activities I did in different sections i.e. diary section, Rabbit section, Poultry section, and piggery section.
Chapter three contains the skills and qualifications acquired, responsibilities undertaken, influence of the training on future and correlation of activities with classroom knowledge.
Chapter four discusses the conclusion and recommendation.
