A report for an internship training carried out at Buginyanya zonal agricultural research and development institute (BugiZARD) Ikulwe satellite station in Mayuge district.

Abstract

This report contains information that was collected and compiled during industrial training period in Ikulwe Bugizard Mayuge district which started from 28/02/2022 to 22/4/2022. The major objective of the training was to establish students to practical skills in the attachment and be able to practice them in future. Chapter one high lights on the introduction of the attachment, the historical back ground of the instate, the vision, mission, goals, the objectives of the training; the location, demographic statistics, the organization structure of the farm, management structure. general information about the station and general information about Bugizard. chapter two describes the activities I carried out during the practice chapter three explains the period of industrial training which was done at Bugizardi Ikulwe Station Mayuge District. It took a duration of 10 weeks, During the period of the industrial training, many activities were carried out including; General weeding in the coffee mother garden where the clones are got to be taken in the coffee mother garden, studied about beans, maize, Rice, where I learnt the proper spacing, diseases and pests, varieties, maturity rate, weed control, planting and harvesting /threshing. However, the in conclusion the management and staff was reliable and cooperative hence promoting my stay at the farm and lacks animal production and management, lack of exposure to the farmers. These can thick about introducing animal production, management and exposing students to local farmers for extension work.
