Abstract:
This report is a compilation of what I learnt and did during my industrial training program at Wera sub-county which is a government entity under Amuria district local government from 28th February to 06th May, 2022. This was designated by Busitema University, Faculty of Agriculture and animal Sciences Arapai Campus with an intension of building the capacity of the students pursuing different programs in practical skills related to their areas of specialization in various fields of agriculture in comparison with theoretical knowledge acquired from class as well as serving as a partial requirement for the award of a Diploma in Animal Production and Management. This report is made up of four chapters. Chapter one majorly talks about the introduction which gives the sub-county's background, department of attachment location, organization structure, ownership, sector of operation, beneficiaries, goals and objectives. Chapter two which discusses the activities which I myself did and executed under the supervision of my field supervisor AAHO Mr. Odeke Stephen Engoru, description of the tasks performed in the working days and other activities I attended in the sub-county like the sub-county planning meeting. Chapter three which consists of the impacts of the various attachments to me as a student which are; the skills gained, responsibilities undertaken, how the activities performed will influence my future, correlation of the activities performed with class room knowledge and the challenges faced during the training. Chapter four which gives the conclusions and recommendations to both the University and the Sub-county. And lastly appendices and references.
