Abstract:
Industrial training is a practical module undertaken by students during their recess term and is basically to help students acquire more practical knowledge and skills from the field of attachment on the activities related to the area of study and also to transform theoretical work into practical work. The internship was carried out at TCASF located 7km from Soroti city along Soroti-Moroto highway. The training involved several activities in areas of crop and animal production which were done at the farm and these include tick control, pasture improvement, soil sterilization, deworming, nursery bed establishment and management etc. challenges were also faced during the attachment like lack of enough farm tools and equipment's to carry out farm activities in the farm. In conclusion, besides hardships faced during the attachment, the internship was accomplished and done successfully. I do recommend TCASF to provide enough training materials to enable students to carry out practical activities in time.
