Abstract:
Industrial training is a practical module undertaken by students during their recess term and is basically to basically to help students acquire more practical knowledge and skills from the field of attachment on the activities related to the area of study and also to transform theoretical work into practical work. The internship was carried out at TCASF located 7km from Soroti city along Soroti-Moroto highway. The training involved several activities in both crop and animals which were done at the farm and these include nursery bed establishment and management, tick control, deworming, pasture improvement, soil sterilization etc. challenges were encountered during the study like lack of farm tools to carry out farm activities in the farm. In conclusive remarks, besides hardships encountered during the study, the internship was accomplished and done successfully. I do recommend TCASF to procure enough training materials to enable students to carry out practical activities in time.
