Abstract:
I compiled this study report. during industrial training that began on Monday 28th FEB 2022 and ended on Friday 6th MAY2022. The training was for ten (10) weeks and was carried out at
Chamkok-Alerek sub county, Abim district, karamoja Uganda. This was to fulfill the requirements needed for the award in Certificate in General Agriculture of Busitema University, putting much of the theoretical knowledge learnt in class into practice, acquire practical skills in farm management and get expose to the working environments.
This industrial training report contains of four chapters and it clearly describes the details of activities both practical and lectures that we perform at Chamkok-Alerek sub-county, Abim District.
Chapter one describe Chamkok-Alerek sub-county, the historical background, visions, and mission, and purpose, objectives of the training, the location and the organization structure of Chamkok-Alerek sub-county Abim District.
Chapter two describes the set of activities I got involved in at Chamkok-Alerek sub-county i.e.
orientation & Nursery bed, Nursery bed, cattle and small ruminant, piggery, kitchen garden; Agro-forestry; Maize, poultry, maize & soybean and food distribution, and under each section various activities were done such as breeding, agronomy, pathology, entomology among others.
Chapter three summarizes the impacts of attachment i.e. skills gained, responsibilities undertaken, influence of the attachment to my future career plans, correlation of the attachment activities with classroom knowledge and various challenges faced during the period of any attachment.
Chapter four contains the recommendations to Chamkok-Alerek Sub-county, Abim District. And conclusions, Appendices, work plan and references.
