A comprehensive report at Ngetta zonal agricultural research and development institute (NGEZARDI)

Abstract

This report gives the detailed information concerning the internship training placement at NGETTA ZARDI from 28/Feb to 22/April/2022. The institute has very many farm sections where we managed go through all the farm during orientation due to limited time we managed to handle only seven those are, dairy unit where we managed to learnt much about diseases control and all factors that affect dairy farms in Uganda, goat section where we did activities like deworming, creating fence among others. Horticulture, here were able to do a lot of activities like staking, spraying etc., and fish farming very many lectures took place on fish rearing and it's detailed in the body of the report. Agro-forestry, here we managed to do potting, weeding, budding and grafting among others. mother garden among others section we managed to attend during my internship training at Ngetta Zonal Agricultural Research Institute. This report is consisting of preliminary pages that has declaration, dedication, acknowledgement, table of contents, list of tables and figures, list of abbreviation and finally abstract. And report body pages with chapter one which has introduction that has location, historical background of the institute sectors operation, customer beneficiaries, purpose of the training, objectives of the studies and organization structure in the same way chapter two of the report carrying the detailed description of all sections handled in institute. The report also has chapter three that has skills gained and challenges faced during the internship and finally chapter four with recommendation and conclusions and appendices of the report.
