Abstract:
The Industrial training was carried out of at Anaka Sub-County in Nwoya District Local government between 28thFeb to 06th May 2022, where I managed to undergo a tall schedule of different activities throughout the whole month.
The objective of the IT attachment was to get exposed to practical orientation on concept learnt in class relate with a read field work, make recommendation on how farmers can adapt with the modern methods of farming within the Anaka Sub-County in Nwoya District Local government
During the training I participated in activities like castration, germination test, treatment of pigs, transplanting of cabbages seedlings demonstration of potting and many others as shown in chapter two.
I used equipment like hand hoes, pangas, watering can and many other materials
I gained skills and knowledge in the above activities carried out during the IT but, however faced challenges like bad weather condition, long distance from area of resident to place of IT and many others
I therefore recommend that there should be enough funds always for the IT and some special project in the district in order to equip students with knowledge skills
Finally, I would recommend my fellow students to go to Nwoya District in northern Uganda for their IT and study trips since they have very many farms
In conclusion, my internship objectives were fairly achieved into practical performance I got more practical skills provided by my field supervisor and doing daily activities where I had good attitude towards agriculture.
