Abstract:
Busitema university Arapai campus by policy at the end of every academic year it sends students to the field where they are taught practical skills and exercising what they were taught in class to equip students with field skills and enable them to appreciate the link between the theory learned in class and their respective professional fields. The key objective of this training is to enable the students apply the theory learnt in class and put into practice, get more knowledge in the field so as to work with the community, conserve the environment and to be exposed to challenges and possible solutions. This report informs on the activities carried out, it contains 4 chapters where by in the first chapter entails on the key information about the Arapai campus farm, in second informs on the details of activities I carried out during my time of internship at Arapai campus farm in different sections in both animal and crop production section. In the third section contains the social condition, key lessons, skills and knowledge that I gained, responsibilities taken and correlation between class work and real field and key recommendations in the fourth chapter.
Finally, the industrial training was done successively I gained skills and knowledge in the highlighted in chapter four. I recommend that ample time given to internship for better learning and tools and equipment provided at the farm to make learning and working at the farm run smoothly.
