dc.description.abstract This report contains and describes the activities implemented, skills and qualifications gained, challenges faced during industrial training, conclusion of the report and recommendations derived from challenges faced at Busoga Farmers Resource Center Busembatia. The objective of this industrial training is to make students benefit from skills and knowledge gained from the fields, apply the knowledge got from classroom in the field and build confidence in the students. During internship I was attached to the Animal and crop departments. This was followed by orientation where I was introduced to the workers and farm staff and later implemented activities as follows: sugarcane juice extraction and value addition to the juice banana plantation activities. grafting 500 mango seedlings. budding of 700 seedlings of oranges mulching banana gardens and tomatoes. slurry application from bio gas pits. preparation of 4 kitchen gardens and I sack mond. preparation of composite manure cleaning, Baiting and siting 6 Kenya Top Bars, management of 6 cages of vermin culture, activities in black soldier fly management, feed mixing and poultry management. These activities have made gain a lot of skills and knowledge as mentioned above and communication skills with confidence in training farmers on animal and crop management During internship, I also faced some challenges like lack of veterinary mugs at the farm, limited transport means, limited technical staff especially to animal department, less attention to the knowledge and advice given to the farm Director. In conclusion all activities were implemented and industrial training were carried out successfully. I was able to benefit from it. I was in position of getting practical skills and knowledge in my career and relating with people in field. The technical advice that I provided addressed the farm director, manager and staff at farm. Much as well were successfully done, there were also some little challenges which hindered the smooth running of the activities making me recommend that they should install veterinary drugs at the farm, buy motorcycle for the manager at the farm for easy supervision, employing top technical staff should work with extension workers available to educate him more. en_US
