Industrial training report carted out at faculty of agriculture and animal sciences farm of Busitema university in Soroti district

Abstract

The field attachment carried out from Faculty of agriculture and animal science of Busitema university Arapai farm in Soroti town council A number of activities in both animal and crop departments were carried out during my stay at the farm such as treating sick animals, spraying, cleaning pens, deworming, feed formulation among others in animal section and rapid multiplication, pruning, weeding, roughing, staking, pests and disease control among others in crop section. There was acquisition of knowledge and skills in performing the activities above due to cooperation and hard work with the team. The farm was a good learning environment and the staff members were always promising, mentored, trained and guided me on how to perform those activities. The major challengers were experienced during the industrial training were shortage of equipment's, poor climate which hindered research on rapid multiplication. In conclusion, the industrial training has been successful and has helped me to practice several activities and has contributed a lot towards improvement of my skills and knowledge in various activities to build my capacity on my future career.
