dc.description Industrial training report en_US
dc.description.abstract This comprehensive report contains and explains the activities carried out during the internship period, knowledge and skills attained, challenges faced during the training period, conclusions and recommendations derived from the challenges faced during the industrial training period. The main objectives of the industrial training are to equip students with the required field skills and also to apply the knowledge students get from the classroom in the field. During my internship, I was oriented and what followed was carrying out of different activities such as dipping cattle, pasture, establishment; parasite control, fodder harvesting and feeding animals, calf management, castration, dehorning, fish sampling, goat management, drug identification, hay making and many others. These activities have enabled me to gain the required field skills in crop and animal management. Through outreaches, I have also gained self-confidence and also acquired communication skills. During the internship period, faced some challenges like lack of sitting materials in many sections at the farm which affected my writing skills, long journeys from the farm to the places of outreaches and also lack of some sections at the farm like the poultry section, piggery section and the small ruminants section. In conclusion, the activities and industrial training was carried out successfully. I also recommend the farm that it should provide sitting materials at the farm in order for the students' writing skills not to be affected. It should also add sections such as the small ruminants, piggery and poultry sections at the farm in order to equip students with all the necessary field skills. en_US
