dc.description.abstract Industrial training is one the course module carried out by students at the end of first year. It is mandated to train and empower students with skills in various sections under the Faculty of agriculture and animal science in program that is animal and crop production. Being a center of academics and professional excellence in science, technology and innovation all courses offered under this Faculty, students are exposed to practical aspects in the field in form of farm practice, community outreach and industrial training and research for all. I.T is a practical module carried out by students at BUAC. This industrial training is allocated its own period and it started from 28th/Feb/2022 to 1st/May/2022 and in total, the practice is always conducted within ten weeks. Generally, the industrial training is designed to give students hands on experience in agriculture production where students acquire skills and knowledge on various activities by converting the theoretical knowledge from class into practical skills. This I.T was carried out by certificate students, Diploma in crop production, Diploma in animal production and Bachelor students. Industrial training has various sections which students are supposed to handle and these include; orchard, green house, cattle section, piggery section, small ruminants, pastures. The following are some of the activities that we did in crop department; pests and disease identification and control, pruning of tomatoes, trellising, fertilizer application, weeding, earthing up, gap filling, rougueing. In animal department, the activities include; tick control in animals, disease investigation and diagnosis, treatment of animals, feed formulation, cleaning the animal units, feeding the animals, watering the animals, aging the animals especially goats, temperature taking among others. en_US
