dc.description.abstract This is a repot or industrial training that was carried out at Busitema university faculty of agriculture and animal sciences Arapai campus from 20th may 2019 to 26th July 2019 at the campus farm. Industrial training is a technical exposure of students to field activities as one away of gaining experiences as various theories learnt in class, are transformed into practical activities within a given community. It is well explained in four chapters. The objectives of the industrial training such as learning how to internalize knowledge through hands on experience, to develop various extension skills are well stated in chapter one which also describes the place of the attachment stating its location, mission and vision. The second chapter fully describes the activities that were carried out both in crop and animal husbandry sections Such as pest and disease identification in the citrus orchard, renovation of the farm structures, fertilizer identification in the greenhouse, treating sick animals among other activities. The various responsibilities undertaken during. the attachment such as developing a business plan, establishment of plantations are captured in the third chapter of the report that also includes the correlation of the attachment to the classroom knowledge as well as its influence to the career future plans. However, there were a few challenges that were faced during the industrial training such as limited practical equipment, inadequate facilities but they did not stop the training as it was successful, where management needs to improve and renovate the farm units as one of the recommendations. All these have been explained in the fourth chapter of this report. en_US
