Industrial training report carried out in Buginyanya zonal agricultural research and development institute in Masiira sub county, Bulambuli district

Abstract

The Industrial Training was held at BugiZARDI located in Masira Sub-County, Bulambuli District that started from 28th/02/2022 to 6th/05/2022. The main objectives of the study were to enhance skills learnt in class by being exposed to applied knowledge and practical skills for self and community empowerment. To provide me with the opportunity to apply principles and technologies theoretically learnt and putting them into real life. The report has four chapters, chapter one talks about introduction, historical background, objectives of Buginyanya Coffee Research, BugiZARDI mission, Vision, Goal, Mandate, Key Objectives of the study and organ program of BugiZARDI. The major activities carried out involved; orientation, classification of coffee, data collection on wheat and barley, field marking and design, tagging, identification of banana varieties among others. In addition to the above, there was identification of weather instruments, soil concept among others. The industrial training was successfully done because I was able to gain all the necessary skills. The problem of poor communication because of poor road network can be solved by community by combining efforts with the government to improve on communication.
