Industrial attachment report conducted from Busitema university Arapai campus from 28/Feb/2022 to 1/May/2022

Abstract

This report is about Industrial training which refers. to the work experience that is relevant to academic and professional development of a student prior to the graduation where students put into practice what they nave theoretically learnt. It was carried out at BUAC farm located 10 km along Soroti - Moroto road at the end of second academic year for a period of 9 weeks which commenced. on 28/02/2022 to 1/05/2022 always from Monday to Friday of every week of study gone by visiting different farm sections. of both animal and crop section where field supervisors and field attendants guided us on different attachment practical activities carried out like; cleaning, feeding, weeding, castration, spraying animals, treatment of sick animals, equipment, pruning tomatoes, trellising tomatoes etc. hence exposing me to actual working environment and enhance my knowledge and skill from what I have learnt in the university, equipped me with practical and hands-on skills needed in the world of work, enabled me get exposure to the dynamics of applying theoretical knowledge to teal industrial routine operations, etc. hence gaining me professional knowledge and skills in crop and animal production and management, besides challenges faced like Inadequate equipment, Some of my group members lacked cooperation etc. However, the internship was successful done despite of the few challenges faced during the program as mentioned above, I managed to learn many things and acquired many skills in crop and animal section and I recommend the farm manager to get adequate equipment to facilitate learning during the attachment and also planting materials should be given on time.
