This industrial training report was carried out at the National Semi-Arid Resources Research Institute (NaSARRI) from 28th February to 22nd April 2022 for a period of eight (8) weeks. In this training I was attached to Four programs which include Dryland Legumes (Green gram, Cowpeas and pigeon peas), Fiber crops/cotton), Oil crops (simsim, Sunflower and ground nuts). Dry land Cereals (Sorghum, Finger millet, Pearl millet). Farm management (pastures, horticulture, Agro forestry, mushroom, Animal traction, Farm Mechanization). The main objective of this training is to expose students to field activities so as to acquire working experiences through transfer of theory knowledge learnt in class to practical in the field within communities. This report comprises of four chapters i.e.
Chapter one; highlights on the background of institute, mission, vision, organizational structure of the institute.
Chapter two; highlights on the description of activities performed during the attachments in the various programs like pest and disease identification, emasculation, field marking, selfing and crossing.
Chapter three; highlights on the impacts of the attachments that include the skills and qualifications that I gained which include emasculation, field marking, crossing. Some responsibilities undertaken include seed bulking, emasculation. influence of attachment to my future career, challenges faced during attachment and how activities under attachment correlate with classroom knowledge,
Chapter four; Summarizes the conclusions and recommendations of the attachments.
