SA report on industrial training carried out at Kawacom Uganda limited Sipi branch.

Abstract

This is a summary of the report carried out at Kawacom Uganda Limited Sipi Branch Kapchorwa from 28th/02/2022 to 29th/04/2022. This report has four chapters and they include the following: In chapter one, it highlights the introduction, historical background, staff, Organization structure, Activities and Objectives of the internal training at Kawacom Uganda limited Sipi branch. In chapter Two, it highlights the descriptions of attachments carried out at Kawacom Uganda Limited like GAPS management practices, Nursery bed management and IPM In chapter three, it focuses on the impact of the attachment like skills and qualifications gained from attachment like skills in the nursery bed raising and management, Extension skills, Training skills pest and disease control measures, Training of farmers on GAPS. This chapter also consists of the responsibilities undertaken during the trainings, attachment activities that correlate with class room work, challenges faced during the training like poor scheduling of farmers while carrying out field trainings, Inadequate tools and equipment during stumping, pruning e.g. pruning saw, secateurs and their solutions. In chapter four, it contains conclusions and recommendations like provision of more tools and equipment, recruiting more field coordinators to organize farmers during farmer field trainings and also contain appendices and references.
