An industrial training report carried out at Buginyanya zonal agricultural research development institute

Abstract

In respect to the department of Crop production, animal production it is pre-requisite to undertake industrial training for partial fulfilment for award of a diploma in crop production and management, certificate in general agriculture among others. Industrial training is a module carried outside the classroom. Above all, the industrial training was successfully done because the supervisors were friendly and gave us the needed skills. This report describes the activities implemented, skills and qualifications gained, challenges' faced during the training conclusion of the report and recommendations derived at BugIZARDI in Bulambuli district under NARO. The objective of this training is to make students, from the skills and knowledge gained from the fields and build confidence in them. This was followed by orientation where I was introduced to BUGIZARDI and later implemented activities like visiting the organization to acceptance, preparation of the industrial training by meeting with the supervisors to guide on how to carry out the training and orientation, conducting training in various enterprises like, banana, field peas, and potatoes, among others. In addition, during this training I also faced some challenges that included unfavourable weather like heavy rains that disrupted the road network; this can be solved by combining efforts with the government to promote an adequate road network for better communication with in the area and district at large.
