Abstract:
It's a culture of Busitema university that ever student of first and second year undergoes a training in the field or profession before graduation, which is Industrial training.
It's a module that is conducted outside the university. Students are exposed to hands on skills and knowledge in the field, it involves visiting. The objective of industrial training is to expose students to practical skills and real-life experience of work in the field of occupation as a future career. This study is normally carried out for period of two months. And students are attached to an organization with an agricultural background. In this I was able to carried out my field attachment in BugiZARDI Research institute. The scope of the work study was carried as follows; visiting the management of BugiZARDI seeking acceptance, prepare for industrial training by meeting the supervisor to share the time table and work plan, conducting the industrial training in selected enterprise compiling the activities from enterprise like coffee, wheat, Banana, we were able to learn the agronomic practices done the various fields of coffee etc. despite of the challenges faced like bad weather which made hard to complete activities in the field , electricity problem and shortage of facilities (computers) and equipment to us during the activities in the field. We were able to accomplish the training successfully and as required by the university.
