dc.description.abstract The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic caused schools and other public places such as markets, bars, cinema holes where people could gather to do a given work to be closed. The closure of schools made learning activities to stop in Namisindwa district and as a result few teachers who would teach through televisions and radio stations were involved. This was a government initiative with less participation of individual schools. However, despite all the above involvement, less involvement has been in Uganda to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 Lon students’ performance in mathematics. Due to the above mentioned alarming situation, some students quit schooling and even those who remained schooling were promoted automatically to the next classes without finishing the syllabi. And this made most students to perform poorly in mathematics and therefore calls for research. en_US
