Abstract:
The purpose of this study will be to examine the influence of training on employee performance in Pallisa District Local Government. Specifically, it will be guided by the following objectives; to examine the effect of training needs assessment on employees’ performance, to establish the effect of training contents on employees’ performance, and to explore the relationship between training evaluation and employees’ performance in Pallisa District Local Government. The study will adopt a cross sectional research design with quantitative approach to draw a sample of 205 from a population of 440 respondents as guided by Mogan and Krejcie, (1970). The study however will have some limitations: First the study adopted a cross-sectional research design with its inherent weakness. Secondly, the study major in public setting to draw conclusions and recommendations. The findings may be of value to the ministry of local government and other stakeholders by enabling them to come up with the sustainable policy framework that can engage systems in order to ensure effective performance.
