dc.description.abstract The main objective of the study is to establish the effect of corporate governance on financial performance of commercial banks in Tororo Town Council. Most importantly the study will aim at determining how the internal mechanism influences the financial performance of commercial banks, to establish the effects of external mechanism on financial performance of commercial banks, to evaluate the effects of independent audit on the performance of commercial banks. The sample size of the study is 36 and a total population of 40. en_US
