Malaria is one of the most significant common major health problems worldwide, more so in the tropical regions of Africa, Uganda becoming one of the most affected countries affected by malaria. According to the Uganda Malaria Annual Report July 2017-June 2018. In Uganda, the most typical treatment strategy is by Pharmacotherapy only the disadvantage attached to this is the development of resistance for many of these treatments. The most typical therapy in Uganda currently is the combination of Lumefantrine and Artemether. Coartem is a combination of Lumefantrine and artemether used to treat malarial infections in Uganda. Due to many resistances developments, many individuals have resorted to using herbal medicine in Uganda, more so vernonia amygdalina and aloe Vera. Vernonia amygdalina and Aloe Vera are commonly anti-malarial since they possess ant malarial ingredients. Therefore, the research is based on reviewing and exploring the presence of Artemether and Lumefantrine in vernonia amygdalina and Aloe Vera.
