Industrial training report, conducted in St. Martin Comboni missionaries - SS (Verona fathers) Ogongi district, Itula subcounty department of production and marketing under St. Martin Comboni missionaries - SS (Verona fathers) programme.

Abstract

The industrial training was caried out for duration of 2 months and 2 weeks from 28 th of February to 6th of May 2022 under a Missionaries project at St. Martin Comboni. Missionaries in Obongi MOYO branch at Pasu village Moyo district. It's a practical aspect of learning aimed at equipping students- with skills and also exposes them to various challenges faced at Field. There are number of activities carried out includes orientation, identification of sections' of the farm, identifying the location of the farm, measuring the dimension of the farm (garden area) identifying of crop varieties/ species, identifying soil types, cleaning animal units, checking body temperature of animals, measuring the heartbeat of animals, feeding animals, giving water to animals, formulation of feeds for animals, removal of old litter and replacing with new once from the piggery unit and disinfecting it, treat animals, disinfecting wounds on animals, weeding of vegetables _in nursery bed, the seed bed, removing of trash from the garden seed bed preparation transplanting of vegetables seedling, irrigation of seedling, creating drainage channels on the farm garden, determining the moisture content of sun flower seeds, cleaning sunflower seeds, grinding and milling sun flower seeds, purifying and refining of sun flower oil, filtering sun flower oil, packaging and branding sun, flower oil, briquette making, energy saving stove construction, cleaning the drainage channels for animals, feeding of piglets(bottle feeding), checking pressure of the tyres-of the tractor, wanning the tractor engines starting the tractor, checking the engine part topping up water in the radiator, lubricating the engine part maintaining the tillage implements.
