Abstract:
School drop-out with in Kapyanga sub-county seems to be high despite the efforts of the
Ugandan government in promoting Universal Primary Education (UPE)
Among the many problems cited as responsible for the school dropout is sexual abuse. This
study was guided by the following objectives:
To identify the various forms of sexual abuse, its causes and effects
The study employed both qualitative and quantitative methods to arrive at its findings and
conclusions. The study revealed there are forms of sexual abuse
There are general conclusions that sexual abuse forces some girls to drop out of school hence the need to curb this evil.
