Abstract:
This research report was about the role of Covid-19 lockdown on teenage pregnancies in
Namayemba Town Council in the period 2020-2022. The specific number is unknown but there
was a great spike.
Data collection was through open and closed-ended questionnaires including focused group
discussion.
Objective was to find out extent of teenage pregnancies; and to identify the group that was
blameless. It was discovered that all categories of people, parents, teachers, business community
peer and causal laborers were responsible.
It is recommended that more research should be made to find out how to stop dangers teenage
girls face during lockdowns.
