Insecticidal activity of essential of lantana camara leave powder against maize weavil (a review).

Abstract

The main objective of the study was to determine the insecticidal activity of essential of lantana camara leave powder against maize weavil. The lantana camara powder exhibited some degree of insecticidal properties and have great potential to be used in agricultural and industrial sectors. The broad effects of the lantana powder extract have a great benefit to farmers especially with mix cropping. Among the effects that should be experimentally done include repellency and toxicity and then among others, the comparison should be made and the test which is more effective can be easily be adopted by the farmers to produce high yields.
